Stanley H. Holman arrived in Boise in July of 1962 to establish a mission church. The first service was held in the gymnasium of a local elementary school on November 11, 1962 with 17 present. A Sunday School was soon started, and the congregation was formally organized on April 3, 1963 with 37 charter members. Membership increased rapidly and plans were made for construction of a church.
